Who is RONN?
RONN is the AI used for Bot Buster, and it stands for

- Response
- Oriented
- Neural
- Network
As of March 2025, RONN is built on the OpenAI API. In essence, RONN is just ChatGPT that we put an interface over so it works better with Bot Buster.
How does RONN work?
When you ask RONN a question, we make a call to the API with the prompt, modifier, and our secret sauce prompt. What we get back from that is what we present to our users.
It’s quite simple really, but our master prompt is what makes RONN so good, so we won’t share that here (duh!)
We’ve done a little training to make RONN's responses sound a little more humanlike, but we wanted to keep the natural character that AI has in there so that they still have been thought up and written by an AI. There would be no game if they were perfectly human!
Why AI?
We recognize that AI has become extremely prevalent in modern life, and now we’re inserting it into another medium that probably didn’t need it.
Bot Buster is partially a commentary on that, we want to gameify something that we do so much nowadays, trying to tell if something has been created by AI or not!
We also hope that we can make AI seem a little less scary. Hopefully you’ll see, as we have, that AI has many limitations, and often can’t generate short pieces of writing that sound human!
Consider Bot Buster as practice for when you have to tell whether or not that weird email you’ve been sent or those kinda off meeting notes you received were made by AI or not. Who knows, maybe you’ll find out that your uncle has actually been replaced by AI and you never knew!
We mainly want you to have fun, so hopefully this has helped ease your mind about our use of artificial intelligence. He looks so cute anyway, how could you dislike him!
